Big Air ski jump

This week on Dezeen, we marked the start of the 2022 Winter Olympics by looking at the buildings that will be hosting events over the next two weeks.

Taking advantage of this, many venues built for the Beijing 2008 Summer Olympics, including the Bird’s Nest stadium and Water Cube, are being reused.

Among the scattering of new venues is the Ice Ribbon speed skating stadium designed by Populous and the world’s first permanent ski jump for big air events.
