Restaurant

Auyl is an experimental restaurant project in the Medeu mountain district, the outcome of a creative collaboration between architects, artists, artisans, designers, and creative producers. Working together, we have created an immersive space that exists at the intersection of gastronomy and performance. Auyl gives its guests the experience of participating in the process through lighting, sound, atmosphere, textures, and smells. The Auyl restaurant offers signature riffs on the cuisine of Central Asia. The design project is a result of a collaboration of architectural studio NAAW and design studio DUNIE.

Two years after its opening, Restaurant Salu needed to expand to accommodate the growing demand and reduce the queues that were forming on the sidewalk. The annexation of the neighboring property, formerly used as a parking lot, added 60 additional seats, more than doubling the restaurant’s capacity. The design of the new space, named Galpão Salu, took on its own distinctive visual identity, disconnected from the old dining area. This decision was the starting point for a quick and cost-effective project, as the proposed rustic look minimized the extent of the intervention, preserving the entire structure of the building.

Wufu Shanshui Dragon Family Banquet Restaurant is located in Longjing Village, Baofeng Town, Zhushan County, Hubei Province. As the head node of Wufu Longjing Smart Agricultural Innovation Park, the owner hopes to have a characteristic catering space, which can make it convenient for amusement, research and villagers to enjoy food here. The project is also close to the spiritual place of Longjing Village—- the ancient tree Longjing Square, and the owner hopes that the new buildings and places can be associated with it and form a certain fit between the visual and moving lines.

Towering above the treetops, the spacious semi-opened ‘cocoon’- structure accentuates the breathtaking views of the jungle. Married with natural-tone materials, it lends a timeless radiant feeling to the dining and kitchen & bar areas.

PINATI occupies one of the townhouses built in the 1930s on the corner of Rua Armando Penteado and Rua Alagoas. The corner, obtuse, makes the plot unfold in a triangle, and it is from its apex and the two sides of this triangle that the project develops itself. The building had been occupied by an ice cream shop, which completely reconfigured its internal floor plan. From the original house, only the façade and the wooden structure of the roof remained. With a new metallic reinforcement structure, all the internal walls were demolished and a mezzanine was created.

The first spark of Imok ignited in Imok-ri, a small village in Cheongju, Korea – The spark, kindled by the client along with acquaintances, journeyed through the “Yoo Yong-wook Barbecue” in Namyoung-dong, ultimately reaching the current “Imok Smoke Dining”. The desire was to create a Smoke Dining that encapsulated the knowledge and expertise gained from their barbecue endeavors. They aimed to prepare it diligently over an extended period.

The project arises from the interest in respecting the landscape and building with materials that are within reach, seeking a contemporary language with local resources. 

Situated in the prominent West Walk development in Alwaab, a local neighborhood in mainland Doha, Juno is an Italo-American Bistro designed by Rawan Muqaddas and Selma Akkari. The duo was tasked by a local restaurant group to envisage a design that seamlessly blends comfort, nostalgia, and enjoyable food. The two assembled a dedicated project team and guided the conception of the contemporary neighborhood neo-diner. Recognizing the value of regional talent, Rawan and Selma chose to work with London/Beirut-based branding agency Bananamonkey to give the concept a name. Juno is set to become an essential local spot offering an all-day dining experience through its warm ambiance and enjoyable culinary offering.
