TN House is a two-story residence designed for a couple with a passion for art and a lifestyle that often includes hosting friends and social gatherings at home. Located on a corner plot in the city, the design takes its main concept from creating connections between interior and exterior spaces, allowing the house to adapt flexibly to different activities.

The project is a single-family home that presents itself to the street as a pure, compact volume, appearing from the front as a sealed cube that reinforces the privacy and monolithic character of the structure. Part of this volume extends outward to highlight the main entrance, creating a clear, controlled gesture that signals the way in. This extrusion is distinguished materially by white walls, in contrast to the rest of the house, which is constructed entirely of exposed concrete, reinforcing the interplay of solids and voids and the volumetric hierarchy.

Passive House Forest Retreat proves that environmental performance and refined design ambition are not only compatible, they are mutually elevating.

From the outset, the design of this Pomona residence was shaped by a shared appreciation between architect and client for the extraordinary landscape that defines the site. The ambition was straightforward but meaningful — to create a home of careful craft and quiet confidence; one that belongs to its setting rather than imposing upon it.

The house is located in Vinh Ngoc commune (Dong Anh), which has a close connection with the water surface of Phuong Trach lake, Hai Boi lake, and the Red River. This location generates the idea of ​​creating a House from the Flow – an expression of commonly found residential agglomerations along rivers (horizontally) or along waterfalls (vertically).

El Camino is the city’s largest public infrastructure for housing and social services, where people receive accommodation, food, clothing, and comprehensive care.

The house functions as a landscape formation that incorporates architectural forms to create a new experience in which landscape and architecture become a coherent whole. In other words, the site’s natural topography is continued by the house.

Around the Bend is both an extension to a timber Edwardian house built in the early 1900’s and a separate but attached newly built Studio Garage Apartment building at the rear of the property on an unusual triangular piece of land.

The trapezoidal shape of the land, located in a vacation condominium near São Paulo, guided the formal decision of the Casa VLP floor plan. The residence features a traditional division between the social block and the intimate block, separated by a central circulation axis that begins at the entrance of the house. This entrance is marked by a wooden pergola, which indicates the path and invites the individual to enter.
