Museum

The Museum of the Amazons (MAZ), a cultural space dedicated to valuing science and technology in the region, opened to the public in Belém on October 4th. The museum is part of Porto Futuro II, which comprises a set of works carried out by the Government of Pará, left as a legacy from COP 30 to the capital of Pará. The Pará-based office Guá Arquitetura and the Rio de Janeiro firm be.bo. architects are responsible for the design of the 3,100 m² warehouse. In parallel, the duo developed the museum’s permanent exhibition design, which will open in 2026.

Stasys Museum is located in Panevėžys, Lithuania, in the northern part of the city center. The main goal of the project was to enhance city development by creating a high-quality public environment that enriches the city center. It focuses on serving the public interest by improving the quality of life and promoting cultural awareness and artistic expression within a democratic, communal space. Additionally, the museum seeks to establish itself as a leader in public services through superior content and functionality.

The New Taipei City Art Museum is situated on reclaimed land at the convergence of the Yingge River and Dahan River. The gently sloping site resembles an island within the flowing streams, offering captivating views of the majestic mountain and river landscapes. To the north lies Guilun Mountain, while to the south, the museum overlooks the Dahan River and Xueshan Range. Drawing inspiration from the region’s rich history and culture, the design incorporates elements such as the dry riverbed, the quaint charm of old streets and brick buildings, and the swaying reeds, particularly abundant during the autumn and winter seasons, to create a modern and prospective architectural form, a “museum of modern and contemporary art among the reeds.”

The Site Museum for Humayunís Tomb has been envisioned as the spatial link between the significant and distinct historical sites of the Nizamuddin Basti, the Sundar Nursery, and the tomb of the second Mughal emperor, Humayun.  To establish a spatial threshold – significant in terms of providing a sense of place for this ensemble of Mughal-era landscape and architecture -the Archaeological Survey of India, supported by the Aga Khan Trust for Culture, proposes to build a Site Museum as a vital public amenity, facilitating the visitorís experience of Humayunís Tomb and adjacent sites.

MAA-MELIKE ALTINISIK ARCHITECTS‘s international competition-winning project ‘Seoul Robot & AI Museum’ (RAIM) has officially opened to the public in Seoul, South Korea. World’s first pioneer Robot & AI Museum, RAIM emerges as a pioneering cultural landmark that will serve as a base for the 4th industrial revolution in the northeastern part of Seoul. The project realized in collaboration between MAA and Withworks from 2019 to 2024, exemplifies cutting-edge architectural and construction methodologies.

The House of Digitalization in Tulln, Lower Austria, is a flagship project for the state’s digitalization strategy and creates a physical interface between the real and virtual worlds.

During the design of “The Red Ribbon,” the architects and the artists collaborate closely, ensuring that architectural design fully integrates the ideas of performing art. “The Red Ribbon” is not only an innovative exploration of architecture but also a modern interpretation of historical and cultural connotations. The Long March Cultural Digital Art Museum, designed by China IPPR International Engineering Co., Ltd., located in Guiyang, China, is an immersive digital art experience space with the theme of the Long March. The project consists of six theme-performance spaces and is opened to the public in October 2023.
