The initial challenge of the project was to locate the house in an area with a steep slope (40% – 50%) to capture the only panoramic view that the site offers towards Colico Lake. An strategy of a series of concrete retaining wall was chosen to shape terraces at different levels following the site slope for intervening as little as possible the terrain and its native vegetation.
Housing Block Bagebi / Wunderwerk + DM Studio
The building is located on the Tbilisi-Tskneti highway, next to the former student campus. The project brief was to create a building consisting of 35 residential units, though the client’s desire was not solely focused on the commercialization and selling of the apartments. Due to the location of this building, which is adjacent to a forested area, there was a need to create a building that reflected a spacious, healthy living environment, unlike the tight constructions surrounding it.

UK studio 6a Architects has extended a gymnasium and multigenerational community centre in Bloomsbury, London, into a block called Holborn House with a facade designed by artist Caragh Thuring.
