Restaurant

Keereetara is a brand-new restaurant intended as a replacement for its original branch located nearby. The restaurant itself is one of the most popular and successful Thai restaurants in Kanchanaburi, so the owner decided to maintain a sense of the traditional Thai style reflected in the building that links to the Thai dishes served. Due to its small property size, especially when compared to the required functions of a major restaurant branch, the restaurant needs to be able to support large-scale events such as seminars, and weddings.

Design Statement – Following the brand’s slogan, “FAST FOOD BURGERS. SLOW FOOD VALUES,” we intentionally suggested a space where customers can stay with a sense of slowness based on the ‘Hyper Slow’ concept, so they can enjoy relaxed dining in Seoul, the fast-moving city, and Gangnam, its heart. We created a space to maximize and feel the relaxed sentiment of San Francisco, which aims for a slow life, in a space that combines details and high-tech to create the RETRO FUTURISTIC mood.

The Context – AKAARI is an old Japanese cuisine restaurant chain in Hanoi. The interior space of this time is expected to bring a new breakthrough, applying the quintessence of Vietnamese culture to a Japanese restaurant through interior design. Vietnam and Japan are two countries that have one thing in common which is the diversity and love for handicraft products made from bamboo, rattan, and ceramics… Through this project, we want to affirm the potential and the application position is huge and breathe new life into such materials.

The neighborhood. Located in Barrio Italia in Santiago de Chile, one of the most important tourist destinations in the city due to the culture that develops in the place, where it stands out for having a variety of designer shops, restaurants of all kinds, along with innumerable streets where you can find old residences, which constitute a historical heritage. The encounter between heritage architectural elements and the variety of design styles impacts at first sight, that connection that exists between the old and the new, past and future, knowledge and pleasure, today it is a neighborhood to enjoy with friends and family. The design is born from 4 concepts; wisdom, natural, friendly and authentic. Concepts that reflect both the gastronomy of the restaurant and the place where it is located.

Pistohiekka sauna-restaurant is the first step towards rebuilding the Pistohiekka resort area which flourished until the 1980s but has since disappeared. The project brings long-awaited services back to the area in the form of a lakeside sauna and a restaurant. Pistohiekka sauna-restaurant is one of the key development sites in Studio Puisto’s design for developing tourism and wood construction in Pistohiekka. The concept boasts a strong design aesthetic based on a central, curved outdoor space with the restaurant and sauna spaces spiraling around it.

Ling Long is a fine dining restaurant of modern Chinese cuisine in Beijing. When Ling Long is not in operation during the day, the restaurant area is transformed into a flower studio. To accommodate the duality, the restaurant was divided into different zones structured by different furniture groups: the flower fountain in the center, surrounded by the serving stations. Around it is the table arrangement, while the outer zone acts as a lounge area and circulation space.

“How many narratives can a building shelter? Originally built as an annex of a Jaú’s shoe factory, in mid-1925, this building was transformed to a showroom in 2011 when Chiara Meschini and Raul Pabst highlighted its brick walls, but mostly structured this new use by enlarging the openings, framed in weathered steel, and by positioning the bathrooms’ block isolated in the hall, which is made in concrete.
