Simpatia Apartment / Lez Arquitetura

The “Sympathy Apartment” is a 44m² duplex located in Brasília, Brazil. The owners are a friendly and receptive young couple who love to cook and gather friends at home. They asked us to rethink the apartment’s spaces to fit all the equipment and furniture they wished to have. Ampleness and integration are the words that describe the new home. In the original design, the mezzanine occupied half of the upper floor. We decided to extend it to the end, increasing its area and leaving the lower floor entirely for social use. Through the proposed integration between the floors, the project optimizes and proposes different uses for each one. The choice of timeless materials and colors such as wood, gray and fendi tones provide a warm and pleasant atmosphere. In addition, they unify the language adopted in the apartment.

Nova York Apartment / FCstudio

The New York Apartment´s project, located in the city of São Paulo – Brazil, is the result of a creative process that took into account important conditions. The family, consisting of a couple and two young daughters, before moving to this apartment, lived in the Netherlands for 8 years. Thus, constant references to Dutch culture and design permeated the composition process, so that the family would continue to identify with its own home. In addition, we considered the specific logistics of the four residents’ routine, categorizing the spaces according to the real needs of each one. Exclusive suites, one office and a playroom arose because of that.

Loft on Life / Crippa e Assis Arquitetura

With the premise of few and good elements, architects value simplicity and the natural! They took advantage of the elegant layout, clean surfaces and pure volume so associated with the identity of Crippa and Assis Arquitetura. Neutral colors and especially marble and wood divide the scene, as does the selection of furniture by Brazilian designers, such as Jader Almeida, and works of art by Gabriel Wickbold. LOFT goes straight to the point and brings only elements necessary for use, but without losing its elegance and grandeur.

Lofted bedrooms are an awesome space stretcher. Loft on 72nd Street / Nauzet Rodríguez Ruiz

February 17, 2020 Valeria Silva 0

The tight budget for this project did not allow the development of the spatial program to include two bedrooms as the lot dimensions suggested from the start. Instead, it opted to develop an integral remodeling project that reconfigured the space (used commercially until now) into a type of “loft.”
