House Duas Marias I is located in Jaguariúna, in the countryside of São Paulo state. It was built on a plot of approximately 6,000 m², which already featured large mature trees, especially in its lower section.
Between the river and the sea, on the southern coast of Bahia, the Modular Bahia project proposes a contemporary tropical retreat, sensitive to the local territory and climate. Developed by UNA barbara e valentim, the project combines industrialized solutions with bioclimatic strategies – responding precisely to environmental conditions and the desire for a more landscape-integrated occupation.

The proposal seeks not only to mend the existing spatial fabric of the city but also trace and reveal the valuable cultural threads embedded in its surroundings. Sited at the West-south of Erhai Lake, at the edge of the ancient citadel of Dali, an abandon transformer factory is transformed into a theatrical park. The original workshop, storage and office are turned into theater, new media art, and multi-sensual caterings. The main performance venue is the Transformer Theatre that creates a trinity of architecture, interior and stage setting design.
In the southwest of the town square in Lichtenfels, trees are growing and a building is opening up new space. A space of nature and architecture. Interior and exterior. Nature and mathematics. The project involves the renovation of a retail space dedicated to children’s clothing, located in the historic city center of Padua, near Piazza dei Signori. The intervention carefully balances respect for the existing architectural heritage with the introduction of contemporary design elements aimed at creating a playful and engaging environment for children.
The Son Tra Art Exhibition Center serves as both a public space and a new cultural icon. The project was designed as an elevated walking park and exhibition space. It’s like a green-winged bird soaring over the central sports complex, combining nature and artistry in the heart of the city. Its multi-use design is perfect for photographs and memories.

The Cathedral School for Boys sits at the uppermost corner of the landmarked Grace Cathedral Close block, adjacent to the apse end of the Cathedral. The two-story addition designed by our office is connected horizontally to the original 1960s school building and sits on top of an existing concrete expansion from 2009. Our design consists of a steel structure with a glass and aluminum curtain wall: the new addition was light enough to land on the existing structure without foundation upgrades, and construction was sequenced to avoid interrupting the academic calendar. The addition contains open common spaces for large gatherings, small meetings, and quiet study, with spectacular views of the Cathedral transept and the downtown skyline. The project also included an interior renovation that created a new entry axis, leading directly from the front door to the new heart of school life.
Haikou is an island in China, it’s situated on the north coast of Hainan Island, and the South China Sea is around the island. We wanted to create something related to the ocean because Haikou is surrounded by the ocean, but we wanted to create something unique and we didn’t want to use the color blue like the ocean, so we decided to use the brick material for the theme of our design. Because bricks are made of sand which lay on the beach. Looking at this, you can perfectly build a story in your mind. This is timeless, just as bricks can be used to create beautiful and durable spaces that can’t be worn down and improved as they blow out their birthday cake.
