Hunt Studio / Hunt Architecture

With two young kids at home, it became clear that our modest 1940’s bungalow was too small for our growing family and architecture practice. We needed more space and had plenty of it in our backyard. We decided to build an ADU on our property to house our architecture office and a guest suite. At the time, we never imagined how valuable this kind of workspace would become during a global pandemic.

Pennycroft is an impressive five-bedroom family home that replaces an outdated 1930s house on a semi-rural plot on the edge of Great Missenden in Buckinghamshire. A small two-story mansion with the shaded terrace in Trubnikovsky lane. And the first fine dining restaurant of signature dishes by Arkadiy Novikov in partnership with chef Atrem Estafev. Embarking on the project, we were astonished at the uniqueness of the client’s vision which was not made up of clichéd models of already existing restaurants.

The Green House Office Building / Waugh Thistleton Architects

August 15, 2021 Alexandria Bramley 0

The Green House has been designed as an innovative, sustainable response to a derelict 1960s concrete frame building, bringing over 7,000sqm of affordable office space to environmentally and ethically minded small businesses in east London. Sustainable buildings attract sustainably-focused businesses as tenants, this is core to Ethical Property’s ethos. The 1960s building had been derelict for some time however the concrete frame and stripped brick façade were in a suitable condition to be salvaged. Set back from the building line of the street a strip of unoccupied land to the front created a lack of street presence along Cambridge Heath Road.

At roof level, a resident’s belvedere offers panoramic views over London.

Shelest Retreat / YoDezeen studio

Shelest project is located in the dense pine forest on the shores of the Kyiv Sea. The first task for the team was to slow down, walk around the surrounding countryside, get some fresh air and feel the atmosphere that the client, the local developer, was trying to create. He talked a lot about the environmental friendliness of everything that concerns and is associated with the country club. And he sought to complement the purity of nature with architecture that would organically flow into it.
