The redevelopment of the Reuilly barracks is currently one of the major building sites in the French capital. This ambitious project, in the heart of the 12th arrondissement, entails the rehabilitation of a former military barracks whose foundations date back to the 17th century. It involves the construction of 600 social housing units, a public garden, crèche, premises for commercial and associative activities, and artists’ studios. The transformation of this ensemble of buildings has been entrusted to six European architectural and urban design practices.

While planning this object, we had a task to occupy the minimum building area, preserving all the perennial trees that grow around. This house is for several families with a large living room for a common rest together. Technical engineering equipment and a garage are located on the ground floor.

SAMS Center for Elderly People / Lacroix Chessex

The medico-social support structure (SAMS) welcomes senior residents, for a short stay, before their return home. The second complex of the SILO Foundation in Echichens on the heights of Morges, the new building offers additional services such as a doctor’s office for general practitioners, a hairdresser, and a tea room.

A building that, thanks to its distinct materiality and unequivocal typological features, can tell its rural story with honesty and pride.

A pavilion-style house informed by the ancient Latvian farmstead – the viensēta. Designed as a holiday home, the house is free of excesses and encourages the owners’ connection to themselves, each other and the natural surroundings. It sits within a sparsely populated area of Gauja National Park where passing wildlife is more common than humans. Nature takes care of entertainment, inspires and provokes. Life doesn’t just take place indoors, it flows betweeen the exterior and interior with the terrace and windows facilitating. This is a mind-freeing weekend retreat.

In addition to an extension, a winter garden-like connection of the two halls and the complete refurbishment ensure that the project is an appropriate response to current and future work requirements.

The family house has been built in the city called Mogyoród, Hungary located east of Budapest, next to traditional family houses. The vernacular history of the neighbouring houses influenced the architectural character resulting in a simple, restrained appearance. The building is located on the edge of a wonderful nature reserve, specifically the forest begins two meters from the house.

“We are not a bistro or just another sushi bar—we are Izakaya.” The assigned task was to create a distinctive Japanese style establishment, tailor made to meet Martin and Margita’s ideas. The concept is located on Průchodní, a short street right in the historic centre of Brno that resembles narrow streets of Tokyo.
