The Insola is a floating space for art, music, and performances in the center of Berlin. This blue urban installation is a flexible platform, it can be converted from an art gallery, into a movable music venue, a yoga studio, or a live performance stage. This project aims to generate new urban interactions between artists and open-minded people, keeping a lively cultural scene within the city.

During the first decade of the 21st century and before the 2008 economic crisis, Madrid’s suburban areas were highly developed, and their residential capability was exploited to its maximum allowance. A strict urbanistic regulation forced new constructions to consider a percentage of ground floors to have only and exclusively commercial or office purposes, despite there being no interest or commercial activity at that time. Many commercial spaces located within residential blocks were never put in use and remained almost abandoned for more than a decade. DV Offices is a project that aims to activate the existing urban layer with a hybrid program mostly dedicated to office equipment but providing a neutral configuration that allows the space to be transformed in the future. The initial state of the project used to be two 400m2 units abandoned for more than a decade that needed to be divided into 16 units for freelancers and small companies. To provide privacy and to avoid the common urban level frictions, a double layer facade acts like a visual filter regulating the outside climate conditions and providing the existing buildings with a unitary appearance.
The Art Gallery of New South Wales in Sydney has revealed images of its extension designed by Pritzker Architecture Prize-winning architecture studio SANAA under construction ahead of its opening in December. Grey Palace is located in the suburbs of Yogyakarta, Indonesia. It is surrounded by Paddy fields, which makes the view the main focus of this house. The house consists of two floors, which are zoned as public and private areas. The three primary areas pantry, dining and living room are located on the 2nd floor, while the private area is on the first. The purpose of the public area on the 2nd floor was to create an outdoor terrace living so that people can experience the surrounding views with a higher perspective. In spite of the public area being located on the 2nd floor, the main entrance was designed with a foyer that acts as a transition between public and private access.
